What is a virtual airline?

It is a dedicated hobby organization that uses Flight Simulation to model the operations of an airline. Many hundreds of virtual airlines of significance are currently active, with thousands of participants involved all the time. A VA is an online community of like minded Flight Simulator enthusiasts that want to get more out of simply flying between two points, alone. VA's are structured in the same way as a real airline, boast a staff team, events, route structures, fleets and much more. Have you considered what it would be like being a pilot for an airline? We here at Cayman Airways Virtual mimic our real world counterpart, and over the past few years of operations, we have even expanded upon the real world airline to offer our pilots a unique and unrivaled global flying experience. How do I log a flight?

Once you have applied to join our ranks and become an honorary Cayman Virtual pilot, you will be added to our prestigious airline roster automatically. We utilize a software called "Virtual Airline Financial Systems" (*VAFS*). Each time you are prepared to do a flight for our airline, alongside Flight Simulator you must run VAFS. Within VAFS you have your own pilot account, pilot logbook etc. - Simply Choose the flight you wish to fly in VAFS, and it will track your flight whilst you fly, real time!

What's really cool is that if you take a look at our Company ACARS page, it is updated every few seconds with the latest position of your flight, and once you have landed, VAFS will generate a pilot log and show you how you did on the flight you just performed, then it will automatically update our roster on this website!

Never before has a real world Airline formally recognized its Virtual counterpart in the Caribbean.

Some of these airlines are very good and some not so good, but we are confident that we are operating as close to real-world operations as possible, our fleet is painted in our real world livery in both freeware and payware repaints, as well as our fictional divisions in some of the most spectacular schemes available.

We have a large array of flights updated seasonally and all this backed by a friendly dedicated team of staff all passionate about the airline and our valued pilots.
